Annual Family Advisory
$24,000 / year
A year-long private advisory relationship for families who want experienced guidance available not only when something goes wrong, but whenever an important question, decision, or transition arises.
12 Months of Private Advisory
A continuous relationship throughout the year—not a short-term consulting engagement.
Up to 24 Private Meetings
Use meetings when you need them rather than on a rigid schedule. Parent conversations, student meetings, or family meetings depending on the situation.
Direct Access Between Meetings
Phone, text and email access for questions, updates, and situations that arise between scheduled conversations.
Whole-Family Support
The relationship extends across your immediate family—from middle and high school through college and the transition into adulthood.
Guidance Across the Issues That Matter
School challenges, academic performance, motivation, school fit, advocacy, college decisions, transitions, family dynamics around education, and young-adult direction.
Priority Scheduling
When something important comes up, existing advisory families receive priority access to my calendar.
Limited to 10 Families
I intentionally maintain a small private practice so I can know each family well and remain personally accessible throughout the relationship.

A focused 90-minute private session to understand the situation, evaluate your options, and determine clear next steps.
If you join Annual Family Advisory within 30 days, your $750 session fee will be credited.

Hi, I'm Daniel
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of education, adolescence, and family decision-making—as a school leader, educator, author, speaker, and private advisor. Today, I serve as Head of School at a private school in Southern California while maintaining a deliberately small private advisory practice. My work has also reached families nationally through published books, television and media appearances, professional speaking, and a podcast heard more than one million times.
Throughout my career, I’ve been trusted privately by families of NBA, MLB, and NHL athletes; Grammy, Oscar, and Emmy-winning professionals; and C-suite executives from Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. While every family and circumstance is different, the need is often the same: an experienced, objective person who understands young people, understands schools, sees the bigger picture, and can help a family make thoughtful decisions when the path forward isn’t obvious. That is the role I provide today as a Private Educational Advisor.

Yes. The advisory process is intended to be flexible and support all family members as needs arise.
These are used as you need them. It is not limited to or required 2x per month. Certain seasons and situations require more frequent meetings while others do not. Regardless, the on-demand call, text and email support exists at all times.
Phone calls, text, or email for questions, updates, and situations as they arise, with sensible boundaries around response time.
Yes: $750 90-minute Private Strategy Session; $750 credited if you join annual advisory within 30 days.
$6,000 is due on delivery of contract, with scheduled payments of $2,000 for months 4-12.
There is a mandatory 3-month clause ($6,000), and beyond that, cancellations are accepted when mutually agreed upon with an 85% return of unused funds.
